Saturday Special

Seeing  the poster on Facebook made me a bit curious to watch the play. I mean, Legally Blonde, The Musical? Seriously? I liked the movie but I never imagined that it would be possible to turn into a play, let alone a musical. Still, being a fan of plays, I decided to give it a chance. After all, it's not everyday that you can get good theatre seats for 1,200 pesos.

Surprisingly, it didn't disappoint.  Although it was a bit awkward to see Nikki Gil don a blonde wig (but we can't do anything about that, it's called Legally Blonde after all), the play had its moments. It was definitely a fresh take on the movie, and was funny and entertaining too. The songs were catchy, the dance moves were highly choreographed and the actors were actually good.

So yeah, it was worth the money, time, and braving heavy rains AND Manila traffic (which was migraine-inducing, by the way) on a Saturday night.
